Tea – The Affordable Indulgence
Go ahead and indulge your taste for fine teas. Even in this economy, it’s still affordable, as I explain in my latest article on The English Tea Store Blog.
The fine whole leaf tea shown here is quite a bargain when calculated out to the cost per cupful. Compare that to your cup of chai from the local coffee shop, and you will see what I mean.

A Wonderland of Tea Blogs
Alice found her Wonderland by falling down a rabbit hole. You can find yours online. A Wonderland of tea blogs, that is.
Since starting this tea blog, I’ve been exploring the blogosphere and other tea blogs. One thing is for sure: there’s no shortage of these tea blogs, some with the most humorous and creative titles.
A few samples:
Some of my favorites:
Since starting this tea blog, I’ve been exploring the blogosphere and other tea blogs. One thing is for sure: there’s no shortage of these tea blogs, some with the most humorous and creative titles.
- Teadonism – Tea from a true hedonistic (that is, focus on self-pleasure) tea aficionado perspective.
- PalatabiliTEA – Reviews on many different varieties of tea, along with the occasional article on science, food, and tea books.
- Insani-TEA Blog – Postings about teas they like and their personal exploration of the world of tea, but not taken too seriously – or sanely! Just a lot of tea fun.
Other blogs are put up by tea sellers, not just to promote their products, but also to help their customers (both current and soon-to-be) take a few more brave steps outside of their tea comfort zone by trying another tea type or two. Some pan these sites as just marketing gimmicks, but I find that they have tea experts who have helped me learn more.
- English Tea – The blog of The English Tea Store. (Disclaimer: I publish articles there.) Rated 7.6 (very good) on the Tea Blog Directory.
- Bigelow Tea – From the Bigelow Tea company. Rated 7.4 (very good) on the Tea Blog Directory.
- Ya-Ya's Tea-Board | News from the Teahouse, about tea and more – Blog by a real tea expert who is really interested in making sure us tea drinkers get good, accurate tea information. Rated 7.0 (very good) on the Tea Blog Directory.

Observations of a Tea Drinker: The Cardinal’s Nest
Tea and bird watching are natural “go togethers” and can create a little moment in your life of peace and tranquility, a respite from the news of the day. I had an opportunity for a couple of weeks of such moments while two cardinals were nesting in our rose trellis. I blog in detail here.

Am Working to Publicize My Blog
Hi, readers and fellow tea enjoyers. I have been cruising the Internet in search of other tea blogs (will add links for any that look interesting) and sites with great information on tea. Being an amateur who is simply writing about her own experiences in this quest for the "perfect cuppa," I know there is a lot out there to learn. I'm taking it a step at a time, though, so bear with me. Meanwhile, hope you enjoy the postings and photos below.
